ABOUT CHAPTER
While I may be new to running my own business, I'm not new to social media.
I have over 15+ years of agency and in-house experience, helping hundreds of people and businesses use social media more confidently, strategically, and purposefully.

The difference now? My name is above the door.
I work personally with teams or individuals to deliver social media with purpose.

I'll help you focus not just on the what and the how, but that all-important why.

Whether you need a full social media strategy, tailored coaching or practical training, or you just think you could be using social media better, I can help.

WHY CHAPTER? WHY NOW?
The two big questions.
The name 'Chapter' wasn't found on some huge journey of self-discovery, but something I stumbled across while brainstorming company name ideas.
I see it as a name that represents my goal of delivering social media with purpose – connected by people, stories and ideas.
As for why now, that's more straightforward. For years I debated the idea of running my own social media consultancy, but for one reason or another I kept thinking, 'not now'.
Then I realised, there's no perfect time, but there is a right time. That's now.
WHAT'S THE PLAN?
I've said this a lot across this site, but it's all about social media with purpose.

I want to help people, teams and businesses use social media more confidently and strategically – through perceptive and honest advice, personal and practical coaching, and a bit of fun along the way.
Because if we can't have fun at work, what's the point?!
WHAT'S YOUR EXPERIENCE?
I've developed social media strategies for national housebuilders, internationally renowned schools, software education providers, events venues and more.
I've coached social media managers to get more from their channels, trained senior leadership teams to improve and build their industry profiles, as well as redeveloped customer service process via social media.
And more!
For three years I led social media and content for Blue Light Card, increasing organic impressions on average by 33% year on year. This peaked at a record high of 63 million impressions over 12 months.
On a human level, watching people flourish and develop – especially where I've helped in some small way – are career highlights.
WHAT'S SOMETHING PEOPLE MAY NOT KNOW?
As part of a brilliant account team at a digital marketing and PR agency, I led the launch of the social media channels for the charity of one of Game of Thrones' biggest stars.
ANYTHING ELSE?
I've plenty more experience to share, but I'll save that for when we meet.

However, I do think it's important to end on a personal note, so those who don't know me get a better sense of me as a human.
For years, I've been a massive supporter of mentoring – writing about it in my spare time – as well as encouragement-led management, coaching and training.
This has played a big part in developing Chapter's services, while underpinning exactly how I want to work with clients.
I consider myself a conscientious professional who likes to work with a grin, and encourage individuals and teams to believe in themselves more and master their self-improvement.
Outside of work, I'm a dad, husband, film buff and long-suffering Derby County fan. Talk to me about the MCU, Lord of the Rings, and most sports... except rugby.
I don't drink tea or coffee, but will happily meet for a walking meeting, lunch or even a beer (or somehow all three).
I look forward to working with you.
